The services offered at Turning Point in conjunction with our veternarian, Dr. Neal Valk of Greeneville, include live coverage, artificial insemination using transported chilled and frozen semen, stallion collection and semen shipping, embryo transplants and semen freezing and storage.
Foaling services for all breeds are available at Turning Point.
COOLED SEMEN
Utilizing cooled semen, it is now commonplace for people to breed to stallions located across the country while keeping their mares close to home. Semen is collected from the stallion, mixed with extender, and put into a special container where it is cooled and preserved. The semen is then sent, by overnight delivery service or by direct air, to the mares destination where she is inseminated.
Shipement costs are actual cost to us with no additional uplift.
A.I. PACKAGES
Good conception rates are obtainable using transported cooled semen but mare management and timing is critical. The mare's cycle should be carefully monitored by teasing, rectal palpation and ultrasonography. Semen is ordered so that it may be shipped and arrives at your facility shortly before the mare is expected to ovulate.
If necessary, hormonal treatments may be used at your veternarian's discretion to assist in achieving optimal timing of ovulation.

For mares transported to Turning Point:
Includes all routine reproductive services and board (up to 7 days) for one heat cycle: prostaglandin, culture and cytology, daily teasing, palpations, ultrasound follicle exams, artificial inseminations, semen check, HCG, post-breeding examinations/treatment, and first ultrasound pregnancy check. First Cycle Only $475 ($425 for subsequent cycles)
